Question 1

I keep losing comedy ideas before I can write them down — how do I capture jokes faster?

Accepted Answer

Ideas vanish because of friction — by the time you have opened a notes app, found the right list and started typing, the thought is gone. Capture removes that friction entirely: one big button, press it and speak, press again to stop, and your words are transcribed automatically and saved as a searchable connection. No menus, no forms, no fields. There is a type mode for quiet places and a Brain Dump mode where you paste an entire set you have already written and it breaks it into labelled, tagged bits. The idea lands in your library in the same second it hits you — so the only funny thought you ever lose is the one you chose not to say.

Question 2

I have so many jokes scattered across notes apps and voice memos — how do I organise them?

Accepted Answer

This is the real problem — the jokes exist, but they are spread across a dozen places so you can never find the one you need. Capture does not just store what you record; it automatically tags every bit with the people, places, themes and topics it mentions, so the organising happens without you lifting a finger. Everything goes into one searchable library, and because each bit is tagged, connections between them surface on their own — every joke about your ex, every bit set in a supermarket, every callback — grouped automatically. You stop organising and start finding.

Question 3

What is the fastest way to record a comedy idea when I am out and about?

Accepted Answer

Speed is the whole point. Open Capture, hit the single large button, say the idea out loud, hit it again — done. It transcribes in seconds and saves instantly. There is nothing to name, no category to pick, no form to fill. If you are somewhere you cannot talk, switch to type mode and write it. Either way it is in your library, tagged and searchable, before the moment passes.

Question 4

I already have a written set — can I import it without retyping everything?

Accepted Answer

Yes — that is exactly what Brain Dump is for. Paste your existing set in one go and it intelligently breaks it into individual, labelled connections (setups, punchlines, tags, callbacks, transitions, stories), preserves the flow, and tags each one. You do not retype or re-split anything; your whole set lands in the library structured and searchable in one move.

Question 5

Does it rewrite or change my jokes?

Accepted Answer

Never. Transcription turns your speech into text exactly as you said it, and the app never rewrites, summarises or suggests changes to your material. The tagging and labelling are organisational — they help you find and group your bits — but your words stay your words.

Question 6

How do I find a specific joke I wrote months ago?

Accepted Answer

Every captured bit is instantly searchable by the actual words in it, and by its tags, topics, people and places. You remember you wrote something about your dentist? Search dentist and it is there. You remember it involved your ex? Filter by that person. Because Capture tags everything automatically as you go, you never have to file anything — you just search and find.
